Spring Ahead and Fall Behind

So today as I was walking my daughter to school today and it was a nice fall morning, it had the crisps in the air the leaves were falling and it had me thinking about the phrase ‘Spring Ahead, Fall Back’ I know to us it means we turn the clocks forward in the Spring and backwards in the Fall. While I was walking God started to tell me that it is the same thing with us in our lives.

You know when things are going good in your life and everything is falling into place. Life just seems so bright and new like springtime. When everything is at its newest stage in life, that it’s the most healthy and most beautiful. That is how our lives are, at that moment in time. So God allows things to spring ahead in your life and keep the path straight because you are able to hand the next season in your life.

You see the like the weather things your life have to change as well. As good as things go sometimes life gets a little chilly its still beautiful but you can tell that things are starting to change and you start preparing for the next season of life. God gets us to fall behind because we are in his opinion not ready to face the next harsh season. You see God doesn’t want us to jump into things without being fully

prepared.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ...

Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 ESV

So just because God has called you to Fall Back, don’t worry he is just preparing you for what could be a storm and harsh season that you are not fully prepared for. Just relaxing and enjoy the beautifulness around you until it is time to Spring ahead again.

God Bless
